Our Mech-Net Inc. STEM curriculum includes media-rich, blended learning lessons that actually teach students how things work.

At GDJ, we have over 25 years of experience providing mechanical engineering laboratory equipment to students. Our reliable and innovative laminar flow wind tunnels are currently used in leading universities, NASA labs, and industrial testing facilities throughout the world.

At GDJ, we strive to deliver highly accurate, American-made lab equipment at a practical price. Founded by a former educator, our classroom wind tunnels bring math and science from theory into hands-on practice.

At GDJ, we’ve recently upgraded our educational wind tunnels from outdated DC motors to premium efficiency 3-phase AC motors. With this increase in motor efficiency, the equipment’s environmental impact is greatly reduced.

Other features of our wind tunnels for classrooms include:

  • Constructed of 11 Gauge (1/8”) steel
  • Equipped with a heavy-duty 2” x 2” base frame
  • Reduced noise and vibration in the wind tunnel

Additionally, our new A/C motor controller is an ABB VFD (variable frequency drive) torque-sensing controller, which allows for much tighter control of the motor’s fan speed. This also enables less fluctuation of the test section velocity at a set speed.
